Saved Vocabulary & Backups: To prevent data loss, the extension allows you to back up your custom saved vocabulary lists and phrases to our servers in encrypted data structures (such as JSON configuration files).1.d. Usage & Analytical Data: We collect anonymized event metrics (such as features used, feature popularity, and interface interactions) to understand user engagement and improve performance.2. How We Use Your Information2.a. Service Provision: To authenticate your identity, synchronize your backup data across your devices, and process requested contextual translations.2.b. Analytics & Improvement: To evaluate extension performance, diagnose technical bugs, and determine which features are most popular.2.c. Aggregated Feature Insights (Future Services): We may aggregate completely anonymized vocabulary metrics to provide community features, such as system-wide statistics (e.g., displaying language trends or widely saved terms). This aggregated data contains zero personally identifying information.2.d. Commercial Integrity: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or processed linguistic data to any third-party advertisers or brokers. Your data is strictly utilized to power the core LingoLark extension and its official related web applications.3. Data Storage and Retention3.a. Storage Location: Your account profile, server-side data backups, and metadata are securely processed and stored using distributed cloud infrastructure providers (including Supabase and secure hosting environments).3.b. Local Browser Storage: The extension utilizes standard browser local storage capabilities (such as localStorage or chrome.storage) to manage your vocabulary lists, preferences, and translation configurations directly on your local device. This data remains on your machine unless you explicitly choose to sync or back it up to our servers.3.c. Data Retention: We retain your account data and cloud backups for as long as your account remains active. You maintain the right to delete your data or your account at any time via your user dashboard, which will initiate the permanent purging of your records from our live databases and clear local storage configurations.4. Data Sharing and Third PartiesWe do not sell, trade, or rent your personal data to third parties. We only share information with trusted service providers to operate the extension, protect our system, and deliver your requested features.4.a. Essential Service Providers: We partner with third-party infrastructure providers to run core features. This includes Supabase for secure user authentication and account database management, and Cloudflare to protect our services against bot traffic and automated abuse.4.b. Analytics & Processing (Future & Present): Anonymized usage data may be shared with standard product analytics platforms to evaluate feature performance. If you utilize server-side translation or AI cloud processing features in the future, your input text will be securely transmitted to specialized translation APIs solely to return the requested translation.4.c. Chrome Web Store Limited Use Compliance: LingoLark's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use or transfer user data to serve advertisements, track users across external sites, or profile individuals.4.d. Legal & Compliance Disclosures: We may disclose your information if strictly required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the safety, rights, and security of our users and the general public.5. All references to the "Service," "we," "us," or "our" within these Terms refer to Peltronic Ventures LLC.Welcome to LingoLark! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LingoLark website (https://lingolark.com), the LingoLark browser extensions and all associated services, features, and content (collectively, the "Services") provided by LingoLark ("we," "us," or "our").By installing our Chrome extensions, accessing our website, or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use or install the Services.1. Description of ServicesLingoLark provides language learning tools, including website overlays, interactive translations, vocabulary tracking, flashcards, AI-powered contextual assistance, and pronunciation aids delivered via browser extensions and web applications.2. Acceptance of TermsBy creating an account, installing the LingoLark Chrome extension, or accessing our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws. These terms are a binding legal agreement between you and Peltronic Ventures LLC. If you do not agree to these terms, you must immediately uninstall the extension and cease using our services.3. Eligibility & User Accounts3.a. Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to create an account or use LingoLark.3.b. Account Security: You log into our service securely using third-party authentication (such as Google SSO managed by Supabase). You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session tokens, account access, and all activities that occur under your account.3.c. Account Termination: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, clear cloud backups, or restrict access to our services at our sole discretion, without notice, for behavior that violates these terms or harms our platform's integrity.4. Acceptable Use and RestrictionsLingoLark grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our browser extension and web services strictly for personal language learning.4.a. Prohibited Actions: You agree not to attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the extension. You may not use automated bots, scripts, or scrapers to extract vocabulary or interface data from our services.4.b. API Abuse: You agree not to exploit, overload, or bypass rate limits on any server-side translation, AI processing, or cloud backup APIs provided by LingoLark. Abuse of network infrastructure will result in immediate permanent banishment from the service.4.c. Third-Party Websites: The extension functions by interacting with text on external websites you visit. LingoLark does not own, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites you browse while using our tool.5. Intellectual Property RightsAll rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including the browser extensions, website design, text, graphics, logos, software, audio, and underlying code, are and will remain the exclusive property of Peltronic Ventures LLC and its licensors.5.a. Trademark Protection: The trademark "LingoLark" and its associated logos may not be used, copied, or closely imitated without our prior written consent.5.b. User Feedback: Any feedback, suggestions, or comments you provide regarding the Services is entirely voluntary. We are free to use such suggestions or engineering feedback indefinitely without any financial obligation or compensation to you.6. User Content & Data6.a. Text Processing: Our extensions process webpage text locally or securely via API endpoints to provide contextual translations and learning aids. Your processing preferences, saved words, saved phrases, and history are managed strictly in accordance with our Privacy Policy.6.b. Core Control: You maintain total ownership of the custom vocabulary logs you create. You can wipe your data from our cloud infrastructure or clear your local browser storage at any time using the settings panel in the extension.7. Paid Subscriptions & Billing
Certain features of the LingoLark platform require a paid subscription ("Premium").7.a. Paid Services: While core local translation features of LingoLark may be offered for free, certain advanced features—such as cloud infrastructure synchronization, advanced AI processing, and premium language tools—require a paid subscription or fee.7.b. Billing and Renewal: All billing is handled securely through our designated third-party payment processors (such as Stripe). Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring periodic basis (monthly or annually) and will automatically renew unless canceled before the next renewal date.7.c. Cancellation and Refunds: You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access until the end of your current billing period. Except as required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable.8. Termination8.a. Right to Terminate: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms.8.b. Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the browser extensions and platform ceases immediately. System Continuity: We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or completely error-free.9.b. Translation Accuracy: Because translation processing involves complex algorithms and machine learning frameworks, we do not warrant that translation or contextual AI outputs will always be 100% accurate, complete, or reliable for your specific use case.10. Limitation of LiabilityTO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PELTRONIC VENTURES LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, INCURRED BY YOU OR ANY THIRD PARTY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT OR TORT, ARISING FROM YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICES.10.a. Total Liability Cap: In no event shall the total aggregate liability of Peltronic Ventures LLC for all claims arising under or related to these Terms exceed the total amount of fees actually paid by you to the Company during the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability.11.
